A sequential Camping Program is offered across the school, from Prep to Year 6. The aim is to provide experiences in developing independence, teamwork and confidence, away from the familiar home environment.
Camps are an integral part of the school curriculum. They enable students to explore, extend and enrich their learning and social skills development, in a non-school setting.
The camping program is as follows:
Excursions/Incursions are integrated with classroom programs and form an important part of school life. Excursions/Incursions are used to supplement programs to enhance student learning experiences.
The school accesses resources from the wider community to enrich student learning experiences.
Moonee Valley Instrumental Music Program (MVIMP)
The school offers musical instrument tuition through MVIMP for students from Years 3 -6 who would like to learn a musical instrument.
There is a wide variety of instruments to choose from, including percussion, bass guitar, woodwind instruments, brass and string.
The intensive swimming programs are an integral part of the physical education program.
The program for Years 3 – 6 students is held in Term 1 and the P-2 students attend late Term 4. Small groups are taught by qualified instructors. This program operates from the Ascot Vale Leisure Centre, next door to the school.
Concert or Art Show
Every year the students develop and show off new arts skills in the Concert program or Art Show.
